Intimacy & Desire
In 2025 I discovered my passion for still life photography. Through school, I learned to develop and print photographs in the darkroom, diving into the physical and analog process of image-making. Traditionally, still life presents fruits as idealized, removed from evidence of touch. In this project, I disrupt that tradition by intervening directly-- tearing and squeezing the fruit to reveal desire and intimacy through mess. The photographs freeze the moment of rupture, finding the beauty in the discomfort.
